Hong Jiang
Hong began as an Elite professional gymnast in 1972 for the Fujian, China team and competed
both at the professional level and university level for twelve years. Hong graduated in 1984 from Beijing Normal University
with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education. Throughout his competitive years as a gymnast, Hong competed at Chinese National
Championships.
In 1984, Hong became an Elite Coach for the Fujian Elite team through 1988. Three of
Hong's former gymnasts became National Team Members to compete internationally.One of these gymnast, formerly coached
by Hong at the Elite level, competed worldwide in the Asia Games, the 1991 World Cup, World Championships, and the 1992
Olympics in Barcelona. In 1988 Hong relocated to the U.S. He resided in Chicago, IL for 12 years where he was Head Coach for
an elite program. With over 35 years personal gymnastics experience, including 23 years of coaching, Hong's experience,
education, training and philosophy are the key to the success of his gymnasts.

Michelle Jiang
Michelle began her gymnastics career in 1973 and was a member
of the Elite professional team for the Beijing City, China Elite team. Michelle not only competed at the professional
level, but also at the university level for Beijing Normal University. Graduating in 1985 from the Department of P.D.
with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education. Michelle competed in and took a championship in the Chinese National University
Games.
Michelle has over 30 years personal gymnastics experience
to include 22 years of coaching at all levels. In 1985 after graduating, Michelle was invited to coach for the Beijing Normal
University Elite program. In 1988, along with Hong, Michelle relocated to Chicago, IL, and coached for 12 years prior to moving
to Colorado in 1988. Michelle's coaching philosophy, education, experience and talent to "bring the best" out of her gymnasts
are key to the success of her gymnastics team.
Michelle's father, Mr. Jibai Feng has held distinguished poistion at both the Chinese
National and International levels. Mr. Feng has held the positions of Executive Member of the International Gymnastics Federation
(FIG), Vice President of the Chinese Gymnastics Federation, President of the Asia/China Men's Gymnastics Technique Committee
and now holds the title of Honorary Member of FIG since retiring. As a former professional gymnast (and professional
hockey player), Mr. Feng's presence in the gym upon visits to the Colorado are anticipated and well received by
the gymnasts.

Coach Sam
Sam assists in coaching the Boys Team and High School program for Chatfield Gymnastics. Sam has
a distinguished resume to include being a member of the Chinese National Team and 1980 Chinese Olympic Team. Professional
competitions include the American Cup, China National Gymnastics Competition, Asian Games, the Romanian International Gymnastics
Competition. After his professional career, Sam has coached for the National Gymnastics Training Center in Guang Dong Zhong
Shan, China; the China Gymnastics Federation (where he also judged) and the National Gymnastics Team, Iceland. Sam's
combination of professional gymnastics and coaching experiences add a great benefit to the overall quality of Chatfield Gymnastics
programs.

Coach Michael
Michael Martin has been a coach at Chatfield
Gymnastics since August of 2004. While attending college in Houston, TX, he began his coaching career. Michael owned his own
gymnastics club for eight years and was the Recreational Director of Brown's Junior Olympics in Houston. Coach Michael's
belief is that all children should have a wonderful time in the sport of gymnastics and develop a life long appreciation for
athletics regardless of their skills or abilities.Coach Michael coaches the Preschool program, recreational classes and the
Hot Shots program.
